5Worth the money...a great map  Nov 24, 2008
The Streetwise Paris map is great. My friends and I just returned from a four-night stay in Paris and the map was always with us. All of the main sights and streets are clearly listed. The metro map is accurate and very useful. Also- this map features side-streets that the generic paper maps given to us by our hotel did not have. The map, which is brochure-sized,fit well in the deep front pockets of my cargo pants. Persons with difficulty reading smaller text may encounter some slight difficulty reading the names of streets, etc. on the map. (My eyes are pretty bad and I had no significant problems.) Persons complaining that this map is somehow "bad" must have mental issues of some ilk. Every rock, ridge and blade of grass in the city is not listed. For that- you will need an up-to-date detailed geological survey map superimposed onto an accurate street map and some kind of infared goggles. For the "normal" non-Parisian traveler, this map is unsurpassed. English speaking Parisians will find it very useful as well. Buy it.

5Great tour map of Paris!  Oct 15, 2008
One of the most helpful items we had during our vacation in Paris. Pair it up with Rick Steves-Paris and/or Paris-Eyewitness-Travel-Guide, and you're good to go!

5Best Map of Paris  Sep 24, 2008
We have several of the Street Wise maps for different cities. They have a terrific index of streets--makes it easy to find any place in Paris (or other big cities) quickly. The maps are laminated softly and can be folded and carried in a purse or pocket. It also includes a metro map and shows major attractions on the map. It's the absolute best map for travel in Paris.

5A true 'Must Have'  Sep 15, 2008
The best small purchase you can make to prepare for a trip to Paris. We just returned from a week in the city and the Street Map was a constant companion.

5Very Useful Map Of Central Paris  Sep 01, 2008
I generally like the "Streetwise" series of laminated maps, and their Paris map is no exception. It is compact, clear, easy to use, and exceptionally durable. It covers the city center of Paris, and the front side centers along the middle of the city with the Seine River running roughly along the midline. Northern and southern extremities, an index, and a Metro map are located on the back. All in all it is exceptionally useful for both planning a trip in conjunction with a guidebook as well as actually maneuvering on the ground in the city.

The most important landmarks are well defined on the map, and the information presented is accurate and current in my experience (it was revised in 2008). If you want to get out of central Paris you will need another map. Every map is designed for a specific purpose, and this one is designed for use by tourists of central Paris; for this purpose this map is exceedingly well suited, and I recommend it unequivocally.
